I’m very sorry to hear about your dad, Paul. Unfortunately, cancer treatment doesn’t always work for everyone and it’s a very sad part of our job. Brain tumours can be particularly aggressive and difficult to treat, and every person responds differently to treatment. However, we are developing new techniques and drugs all the time and trying to improve and discover new ways of treating tumours. But unfortunately not everything works for everyone. Cancer is a huge area of research and I like to participate in events to fundraise for Cancer Research UK when I can, maybe the cure is just around the corner.

Dear Paul, I feel sad to know about your loss. As of now there are very limited things that we can do for brain tumour patients. But I would like to say that by the time you become older, the technology would have evolved and if you work hard, you can become someone who can help find cure to brain cancer. I know how raged you would be but the best you can do from your side is help us fight by preparing for the future

Very sad to hear about your dad – unfortunately we see patients who cannot be cured all the time. At my hospital we are involved in developing radioactive medicines to diagnose brain tumours as early as possible, which is the key to curing the cancer. If it is caught early enough, there are very effective treatments and the odds are usually very good. This is always the challenge we face.
