  I do not think the world will ever end unless a large meteorite like the one in movie “Armageddon” collides with earth and completely destroys it.

  According to the Mayans, it was last year. Nostradamus also predicted the end of the world to be a few years ago. In reality, it will more likely happen when the sun expands into a red giant in a trillion years due to the natural life cycle of stars. We also might have a second sun by then, as the star Betelgeuse will go supernova in about a million years which might affect Earth quite badly!

  We just don’t know really know! As the sun gets older it will continue to get hotter and hotter, heating up the earth until at some point it will then be too hot on earth for anything to survive any more (except maybe cockroaches – they seem to be able to survive anything). That could be one time when it all ends for us humans. But in the meantime, we may be hit by a meteorite, or have some other catastrophic world event happen, like another ice age, or enormous earthquake, so we just don’t know what’s around the corner…
