      They’re very valuable when you get injuries on your face like a burn, and skin the same colour can be taken from your leg (where nobody will see it) to cover it over. The doctors have to make sure the skin graft had the same blood supply, so thats why the surgery usually takes a very long time

      These are mainly for patients who been burned. Sometimes radiation can cause damage to the skin, and in extreme cases of radiation accidents, some of these patients have had skin grafts.

      Skin grafts are layers of skin taken from a Doner/artificially formed to attach to a person who has had severe skin damage in a limited part of the body. It is more for giving aesthetics value to the involved patient than for saving their life
