I imagine so – marine biology is the biology of tiny stuff you can only see with a microscope (like plankton) right the way up to huge mammals like whales.
Bio(life/living)-logy(study) literally means Study of living and when you ask about Marine biology I am more than sure you will be learning about all the living things under water/in sea. These would include plants and animals both; that live/grow under water.
@fatboy17 I think to begin with you would need to have chemistry a – level and one other science, like biology or maths and then maybe you could do a biology degree specialising in marine, which would teach you the basics to then go and get a job in marine biology. As Jim says, you will need to learn all about the different sealife, from microscopic amoebas to massive basking sharks and whales.
I would recommend you get in touch with someone who might be able to give you an insight into this, find a contact who is a marine biologist, or speak to a lecturer at a university, you should find these people more than willing to help!
