• Question: I know £500 is a lot to us kids but if you think about it, £500 for a class of £30 or even a whole school,it's not going to be a lot of money. You'd need to first buy all the equipment and then make sure that there's enough for over 50 pupils and i'm prettysure that the equiptment isn't going to be £10.

Whatever way you look at it, £500 is a lot of money no matter where it comes from!

I guess it’s not a lot when you think of it like that. But, if you spent the money on making posters of what you do and then went into the schools to chat to the kids about what you do, or holding an open day in your hospital for school kids to come and talk to you about what you do, then the money can go a lot further that way…

I think £500 is good enough to do something useful and fun. I am sure if I make even 5 robots and let all 50 pupils have a go in turns it will be fun. Organizing a robo-war event is even less expensive.

If you think of it like the mastercard adverts:
Cost setting up of web domain and site: £200
Cost of creating information leaflets advertising medical physics: £200
Distributing to schools, training advisors, putting up posters: £100
Inspiring a pupil to a career they didn’t know existed: PRICELESS
