Many many people are cured of their cancer by radiation alone, and sometimes as a complement to surgery or chemo. If you can get rid of the tumour and any remaining cells then you are cured. Patients are monitored periodically to detect if there’s any recurrence, sometimes there is and sometimes there isn’t. So yes, it can be a cure. But, what would be nice is if we could figure out the ultimate cause and prevent it from even happening.
