Unfortunately yes, some of my patients do die. We treat them over the course of a few years, so I can see them getting better or worse over time. Its usually very sad because I would have seen them many times for treatments, but makes us all work harder too because we want to be able to cure other people

Unfortunately yes, we work with very sick people and it is the nature of our job. It’s very sad when someone dies, but you have to feel like you did your best to try and help them.

Joining the list I also say Unfortunately Yes. 🙁

The day I realized that the patient i was working with since 12 months has died I felt really sad but then my professional logical brain kicked in to tell me that I did everything I could to help the patient and it was their fate so I have to let it go. After a short break I got myself together and just worked through my day.

It is a very sad part of our lives and thus we tend to keep personal feelings aside when working with patients. But you make friends when you work with people for long time and also learn to let things go.
