• Question: Doesn't £500 seem alittle small for prize money if you are already earning money?

      Well the aim of the money isn’t to go in our pockets, its so that we can use it to communicate science to the people who might not understand it as well as we do. So for example I would use it to organise an event for people to come to and have scientists explain what they actually do every day!

      To me money is not the most important rewards here. I would have been in the competition even if there was no money prize. I am impressed by the questions I have got and the interest you all have shown. Also as Jim said money is not for it to go to our pockets. I would like to spend it in a way you all learn more about science and increase your interest in science.

      £500 is a lot of money! But the point is what we can do with it, raise awareness, but I agree that this is fun without the prize money!
