Yes, I come into contact with a lot of different staff groups in my job, medical physicists, doctors, nurses, radiographers, pathologists, anaesthetists, surgeons, IT, the list goes on, it’s important (especially in a place like a hospital) to keep positive and get on with people. We’re all there for the same purpose at the end of the day.
Yeah, pretty much all the time. We all have the same goals – scanning and treating patients, so its very important that we all work together for the benefit of the patient. We also do things together outside of work, which is also important!
Yes. I work in the area Clinical Measurement and there are only two scientists and two technologists in our section. This is tiny compared to our Radiotherapy team, which consists of 14 physicists and 7 technologists. As we are such a small group it is really important that we get on together and can work well as a team. We all work hard but (nearly) always manage to have fun and enjoy ourselves at the same time.
Yes, absolutely! We have a fabulous team here. During work many people focus on different aspects of a topic or research project which makes it really interesting to talk about one thing. Sometimes its so funny because we discuss and joke about our results for hours. Just recently we all went to a laser-tag shooting game which was amazing! 🙂
