No, I would accept an assignment where I would have to hurt an animal. The only thinks I harm are computers 🙂 mostly when they don’t work as expected 🙂

We have access to animal testing facilities to test radioactive drugs – its very important to make sure that all the effects are known about before these potentially dangerous drugs are injected into people. The law around animal cruelty is very very strict, and even though the mice are injected with a drug, theres normally no harm done to the mouse. We’d be closed down if there was!

@barrychuckle, No, we don’t harm animals in my area of work. I don’t think that i would want to do a job that involved testing on animals, although i understand that it is needed to help develop the drugs and medicines that are used to save human lives. It’s a tricky one.

Nope, I work purely in a hospital. Though I have come across it before, but it is very tightly regulated.
