      Yes I can use mathematical models to find out different things about the environment and help us make sure it is safer. The weather is forecast-ed using mathematical models. Storms/Earthquakes/Tsunami-s/Pollution can/are also be/being predicted using mathematical models.

      We generate a fair bit of radioactive waste, although the rules with getting rid of this are very very strict so we always work to protect the environment

      My work is based in a hospital, in general there is unavoidable waste unfortunately, but it’s necessary to keep equipment sanitary, to keep our machines running, to dispose of our radioactive waste. All of this is weighed up by the NHS trust, but in real terms is relatively small compared to the health benefits we are providing.
