In principle, yes you can. If you take 2 pieces of metal (copper and zinc because they’re common) and stick them in an onion, the acid in the onion reacts with the metals producing an electric current, which is just enough to charge a phone for a few minutes. I doubt the onion would last very long though – I recommend sticking to your more efficient charger!
