To be honest my job is quite multi-disciplinary which involves complex mathematics, human anatomy and physiology, physics and statistics. But all this is catered under the physics grant so I will be awarded a PhD in physics hopefully at some point 🙂 It is merely not a question of choice at least in my line of work. But there are projects in proper physics domain which I would have liked to work in. I find physics very cool as it has application in so many day to day activities we do. Just think you can calculate the speed at which you need to travel to reach school in time / how does food reach the stomach (gravity helps) / how do we manage to run (friction between shoes and road surface)…. Thus physics is awesome. Best part is you can shoot a question and find the answer….
I love physics, and I was torn for a while between studying physics or biomedical engineering at university. I’ve chosen to study biomedical engineering, but I’m really glad to see that your job has led to so much involvement with physics!
